While white wine might make you think of hot summer nights, one of my favorite times of year for white wine is the fall, as the cool crisp air starts to roll in. Wine, like so many things, really all comes down to a matter of personal preference. Rarely will you find a “bad” wine, rather just one that isn’t someone’s favorite. Many people say they can’t tell a difference between a $10 bottle and a $50 bottle, let alone something more expensive. This white wine round up features a range from $8-$30 bottles, depending on where you are in the country (Massachusetts has crazy cheap prices compared to South Carolina). My personal preference is a dryer, clean mineral finish when it comes to white wines. Rarely will you see me drinking an oak-ey Chardonnay or sweet moscato — not to say there aren’t “good” ones out there.
See below for my personal favorites – ranging from crisp and clear (and $8) to a bit more depth and structure.
I already tried the Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio and loved it!! Can’t wait to try the others.
